Avail looks at the mind, body, and soul as parts of self that profoundly affect one another. The founders are true believers in change, and that people can create the life they want. The overarching vision of Avail is to help people connect the dots as they explore dysfunctional or non-beneficial ways of thinking, eating, relating, and behaving, and to support them in incorporating new ways of existing that lead to abundance, fulfillment, and congruence.
Founded in 2016 therapist, Tangee Moore, LCSW and empowerment coach, Shawnrell Blackwell, Ph.D., joined forces to help meet the needs of individuals who struggle with mental health, addiction, relationships, corporate wellness, and weight management. Together the two woman entrepreneurs began to build a brand, Avail Outpatient Counseling LLC (“Avail”). By definition, the word Avail is two-fold. It means to use or take advantage of an opportunity or available resource and to help or benefit someone or something. Avail best describes our company and this is how the company name was coined. “The Avail Way” best describes the practices of the company.
